Audio Script: Why? - Production Techniques - 21/09/18
I formed my Audio Script the way I did because it follows a traditional format and it was hard to go wrong, something more likely to happen given that this is the first podcast I have made.
I followed my introduction with the interview to keep the flow of the presenters' voices as I think the podcast sounded much better with the Vox Pop Clips towards the end.
I did, however, import an audio clip of lightning during a thunderstorm as I felt it was appropriate given what was said before it and added a useful amount of variation.
I scripted my podcast's dialogue myself from the opening line right to the end. I did this so the presenters always had a good idea of what was next in the script but I allowed room for error and or room for the script to be moulded. I didn't want for my co-presenter to seem robotic so she could say her interpretion of the dialogue to keep a natural flow of the conversation.
I recorded my audio at home, for a more relaxed and calm surrounding, using the Blue Snowball and Windows Voice Recorder on my laptop. I made sure to use a good microphone so there's a connection between the speaker and listener.
